Introduction to the Bio-Cleanse Ionic Foot Detox
I’ve put together this information to give you answers to the most commonly asked questions about the Bio-Cleanse Ionic Foot Detox. When using this device, you place your feet in a tub of warm water alongside an “array” – this is what generates the ions. Over the next 30 minutes, the water usually turns a nasty shade of brown. The device is known to draw toxins out of the body.
I want to say right up front that I’ve been deeply skeptical of the ionic foot baths ever since I originally heard of them. Proponents will say the color change in the water is due to toxins being pulled out of the pores on the bottom of your feet. I, respectfully, disagree with this theory. I don’t think anything actually comes out of your feet and we know the water will change color even if feet aren’t in the water. Laboratory analysis of the water composition before and after a foot bath doesn’t exactly prove anything, either, since most of the compounds found afterwards may be due to the interaction of the metal in the array, the salt which is added, and the components in the water.
I, however, can’t deny my own experiences with the Ionic Foot Detox and with the reports of many others. I’ve been in touch with colleagues over the past few years who have described their client’s experiences. From helping to heal from cancer, to helping autistic children rid their bodies of chemicals, to increased energy, these stories are real and they are from people I know and trust. I would be a fool to discount them entirely just because I question the science or don’t understand it.

How does the Bio-Cleanse Ionic Foot Detox work?
Let’s first define an ion. An ion is a charged atom or molecule that has gained or lost an electron, thus creating an electro-magnetic field capable of neutralizing oppositely-charged particles such as toxins found in the human body.
The control box of the Ionic Foot Detox unit delivers an electrical current through the ionizer array that is placed into the water alongside the feet. (No, you don’t feel any current whatsoever!) The low-level direct current to the array causes the metals within the array in combination with water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions by separating the oxygen and hydrogen components of water. This separating of oxygen and hydrogen components is a form of “dialysis."
The negatively charged ions are absorbed through our skin. They travel through the body and attach themselves to toxic substances with the opposite charge. Since most toxins in our body are positive in charge, (i.e. heavy metals ions), they will be conveniently neutralized so they can more easily be eliminated via our body’s natural eliminative channels. Most importantly, they have been neutralized and can no longer wreck havoc with our hormones, our nervous systems, our organs, and our tissues.
Why use water?
Water is a superior medium because up to 80% of the human body is water and the energy transfer between like substances is efficient and effective. In the energy field created by the Bio-Cleanse® Ionic Foot Detox, a massive negative ion field is created in the water. These negative ions are easily absorbed by the body. Studies show negative ions neutralize free radicals. Also, negative ions have been implicated in the rejuvenation of cells in regards to their ability to "energize" OR "charge" individual cells allowing cells to more readily release toxins and absorb oxygen. When the toxic load is lessened through this process the body’s immune system will be better equipped to protect itself from further toxins, viruses and pollutants.
Water is, of course, very fluid and has the ability to alter molecules in the presence of certain solutes and energies, which can also be referred to as 'memory'. It is precisely this principle that is used in homeopathy in the preparation of homeopathic remedies in different potencies. They dissolve to such an extent that there no longer appears to be molecules of solute present. It is this memory phenomenon that explains the efficacy.
When we introduce our feet into the Ionic Footbath water, our body’s fluids are actually connecting with the water. When we turn on the Ionic Foot Detox, the water becomes the main conductor. This current interacts with our own internal water and produces a positive benefit for our health.
How does the Ionic Foot Detox assist the body in healing?
To understand the importance of using the Ionic Foot Detox, let’s look at the cause of disease. Ann Wigmore, founder of the Living Food Lifestyle® believed all disease is due to deficiency of nutrients and toxic accumulation within the organs and tissues.
Currently, the accumulation of toxins happens as a result of the immune system malfunctioning and its supporting organs being unable to remove toxins fast enough from the body compared to the rate of intake. Thus, the organs become congested and begin to malfunction or become less efficient. Furthermore, the immune system and it's supporting organs become congested as a result of either of an acute over-exposure to toxins or because of a chronic (gradual) toxin build-up due to years of being malnourished (not getting all the vital nutrients necessary for proper function such as when we eat predominantly processed foods). This action restores energy and balance, eases tension in certain areas, and re-establishes energies previously blocked. This then helps the body's organs to function correctly. In other words, by recharging the batteries, each organ can get back to its optimum efficiency.
The Bio-Cleanse® Ionic Foot Detox unit rebalances energy meridians through the bio-charge which is the interaction between the metal array in the water, the water, and your feet. Who shouldn’t have an Ionic Foot Detox?
An ionic body detox and cleanse footbath should NOT be used by:
- Persons with a Pacemaker or any other battery-operated or electrical implant.
- Person who is on heartbeat regulating medication;
- Pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers.
- Organ transplant recipients.
- Persons having an organ removed, especially the colon.
- Persons taking a medication, the absence of which would mentally or physically incapacitate them, e.g., psychotic episodes, seizures, et cetera.
IMPORTANT… users should also be aware of the following:
- Persons should not wear metal, use a computer or cellular phone during an ionic body detox and cleanse footbath session.
- Persons with low blood sugar should eat before using the ionic body detox footbath.
- Though not dangerous, persons having a metal joint implant may find exposure to the electromagnetic field generated by the ionic body detox foot bath to be uncomfortable. If discomfort is experienced, the session will be stopped immediately.
- Persons taking prescription medication should take meds after or four hours prior to their session.
- Because the Ionic Foot Detox is designed to aid the body in eliminating toxins that the kidney and liver cannot eliminate on their own, as a general rule, it may be used by persons on dialysis or by those diagnosed with diabetes or congestive heart failure. However, persons with these conditions, or any other medical condition, should consult their physician prior to implementing the Ionic Foot Detox as part of their wellness program.
- In addition to toxins being pulled out of the bloodstream, valuable electrolytes (calcium, potassium, sodium, and magnesium) may also be purged from the body. To safeguard against this possibility, users are encouraged to drink an Emergen C or have some minerals in water directly after their session.
- Users should be properly hydrated prior to each session.

What do the colors and debris in the water represent?
Many colors and objects appear in the water during the Ionic Foot Detox sessions. Therse are due to a reaction between the toxins and particles in the water, the salt added to the water, the metals in the array, and the alkalinity or acidity of the person being bathed. All of these combine to produce color, whether or not feet are in the water. The basic color produced by these reactions may vary from one geographic area to another.
It is important to understand that the water will change color even if the unit is operating without feet in the water. The basic color change is a result of the reaction between all of the variables in the water and the array, as discussed above. This color change will vary in accordance with the toxic and chemical components of the water and air given a particular geographical area.
The toxins in our bodies will look the same as the toxins predominant in a specific area; however, there will be more toxic particles in the water with feet in it. You will also find that water-based toxins will not stick to the side of the bucket and array, whereas substances pulled from the body will form a sticky ring that must be removed with a detergent.
However, through many tests, BioCleanse manufactures found that the residue in the bucket is easily rinsed off if the unit operates without feet in the bucket. In addition, the residue produced while a person’s feet are bathed has been found to stick to the bucket and cling to the array. The bucket will then require some type of scouring powder or soap in order to be thoroughly cleaned.
The BioCleanse folks also found that a person’s detoxification session will override the geographical toxicity of the water. Based on EAV (Electro Acupuncture by Voll) testing, the following table shows what they believe the colors in the water to represent:

Nevertheless, THE CHANGING OF THE WATER COLOR IS NOT THE REAL ISSUE. The real issue is the effect the energy has on the cellular level and the bio-energy field.
What makes the Bio-Cleanse® Ionic Foot Detox different from other "copycat" products?
One of the differences the Bio-Cleanse® Ionic Foot Detox offers is the Tri-Vortex Charger. This original discovery (Quantum Disk) found that the compounds and elements duplicate and magnify the element of oxygen. This process has the capability to lower the viscosity of water. The energy field created by the Tri-Vortex actually makes water "wetter" and easier to program. This has been proven by testing the hardness using the Dynes Scale. Tests show a drop in structural tension from 132 dines to 58 dines. It is our opinion that "wetter water" creates a superior medium for the energy transfer created with the Bio-Cleanse System.
And let me say that I have studied ionic foot baths for the past several years. I’ve tried the inexpensive ionic foot detoxes made in China; I’ve tried several other American made detoxes. I’ve followed the progress of several foot detox companies, plus corresponded with practitioners in the field who use them. I chose the Bio-Cleanse because I believe it is certainly one of, if not, THE best on the market. It also has RIFE Frequencies making it a much more powerful system than just an ionic foot detox.
What is the function of the array in the water?
The array is the conductive transfer unit of the direct current into the water, which generates the ionic field and therefore transfers the energy into the body.
What are the bubbles coming from the Water Module?
The bubbles coming from the Water Module are the actual separation of the hydrogen and oxygen in the water as the ionic field is being created.

What are the RIFE Frequencies that accompany the Ionic Foot Detox Session?
In 1920, an inventor named Raymond Royal Rife began studying tuberculosis and eventually developed a very powerful microscope which allowed him to study microbes under high magnification. He soon discovered that high frequency oscillator waves of a specific frequency, called the "Mortal Oscillatory Rate," or "MOR" (a variation of a technique pioneered by Dr. Albert Abrams), was able to literally shatter tuberculosis and typhoid bacilli (much like the famous "Memorex glass" of commercial fame). Subsequent research helped him determine the MOR's for e. coli, tetanus, cancer, chickenpox, herpes simplex, pin worms, stretothrix (fungi), rabies and, since then, about 600 other bacteria and viruses.
What this means is that he found a cure for these 600+ diseases.
Importantly, normal human cells are much more resilient than those of disease organisms, and the frequencies have NO harmful effects on them. The application of electrical frequencies to the human body has been approved by the FDA for pain relief for over 30 years (as "TENS" units and ultrasound), so it has been tested on humans for many years and proven to be safe. Of course, the units mostly commonly used are very limited in their frequency generation and are more specific to pain relief, although they may speed healing, according to many doctors who utilize them.
Rife started out inoculating animals with cancer and after their tumors grew he applied his Frequency Generator to shrink and destroy the tumors. He repeated his tests numerous times before testing them on humans in a clinical trial through the University of Southern California. In 1934 he opened a clinic where he treated his first 16 human cancer patients who were all deemed terminal. A special research committee headed by Dr. Milbank Johnson is said to have overseen the research and verified the results, which showed that 14 out of 16 patients experienced a complete remission of their cancers within 3 months and the other two recovered afterwards. The best treatment protocol entailed a single 3-minute treatment every third day, rather than every day, which allowed the body time to rid itself of the toxins and dead particles of the virus and tumor.
Rife and many physicians continued to utilize his equipment privately with success until their records and equipment were confiscated and destroyed by governmental agencies. The whole story of Royal Rife is too long to recite here, but may be read in the book “The Rife Report: The Cancer Cure That Worked”, by Barry Lynes. This book documents the names of the doctors involved, as well as the early research and clinical trials. Much of Rife's work was lost, as he did not keep well-organized records and many of the notes were apparently confiscated and destroyed.
